DCM

As a commercial company,  DCM and its affiliate Scientia Terrae play a role in working towards the two aimed deliverables in PROMISE II. Firstly, they collaborate with other parties within the project on identifying, screening and sourcing (methionine-rich) substrates able to stimulate strigacidal activity by the soil microbiome. The most promising substrates will be granulated by DCM into a prototype that can be applied in the field. Secondly, DCM is responsible for the formulation of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on the lead bacterial strains selected in Promise I.

Alexander Cambré - Program lead Fermentation Technology at Scientia Terrae vzw

Alexander will work on assessing the fermentability and formulation feasibility of lead bacterial strains. His expertise is in bacteriology and fermentation technology

Dr. Jornt Spit - Program lead Next Generation Fertilizers at Scientia Terrae vzw

Jornt will play a role in identifying, screening and sourcing the different substrates in the project. He will finetune the granulation and formulation process of the selected substrates and assist Alexander in the formulation of the lead bacterial strains into a MVP. He's expertise is in plant and soil nutrition, organic fertilization, biobased processes.

Dr. Inge Hanssen  - R&D manager at DCM

With her extensive background in the development of innovative agricultural products, Inge will coordinate all activities of DCM and its affiliate Scientia Terrae during the prototype development. Her expertise is in biocontrol, plant pathology and plant virology.
